Linguazoom was founded in 2009 by Sylvia Halter, a native of the German-speaking part of Switzerland, and has been under her management ever since.

Linguazoom - a success story

While still a university student in German-speaking Switzerland, Sylvia Halter became involved in the integration of immigrants by teaching German and Swiss German.

Fascinated by language teaching, she moved to French-speaking Switzerland after completing her education, where she set up a language school from 2006 and presided over it until 2008. The school offers business German, general German and Swiss German courses for companies and individuals.

During her stay in French-speaking Switzerland, she continued her education in the methodology and didactics of teaching German. Guided by the desire to use modern communication tools such as Skype for language teaching, she developed her own online didactics based on linguistic findings and founded the online language school Linguazoom in 2009. Since then, she has been applying her teaching methodology within the framework of the online language school.

In 2010, the online course was expanded to include English, French and Italian.
